Often compared to being a mushroom farmer, organizing and doing everything right will result in a lot of people helping you out in planning, particularly if it’s all about the Disney vacation. Time is gold and managing it correctly is important in this vacation simply because if you don’t, it can have great impact on everything from accommodations to food and budgeting. Everything has to depend on these aspects. For many years, many people have done planning that have been carried out productively, especially in reunions and anniversaries held at Disney.
Where to stay and eat
Having a place to stay for the entire family is probably the first thing you have to settle. There are huge discount rates for booking a minimum of 16 rooms found in many resorts just like Disney. The discount is nice and is secured through timely deposits on all rooms at once. This particular discount is for accommodation alone and does not include a park pass. Nevertheless, if you take advantage of the Annual Pass, your group just might get an upgrade.
Food is man’s most basic need, and therefore, should be taken seriously and should be planned well. If your hotel has a food court, then it’s truly a great advantage for everybody. In case you need to seat people of more than 10 in a single table, Disney waiting staff might not be able to accommodate you, unless you’re not fussy about sitting with your party. 20-tops are no problem at any of Disney’s several buffets; nevertheless, guests should expect to pay a fixed gratuity and may be asked to take their meals before six and after nine even with reservations.
Imagine herding a group of cats into a sprinkler; that’s how difficult it is to round up every single person in the family. If a particular herd is having trouble making dinner dates, the solution may be a catered gathering. These events can be held in one of the many venues provided by Disney resorts and theme parks, with attendant minimum food charges per guest and required service charge and tax. Venues found all over the park have different themes and settings to choose from!
What to do, what to do?
It is incredibly stressful to manage, supervise and direct a large crowd. When one needs to go to the lavatory, a couple of minutes can extend to a quarter of an hour when everybody else all of a sudden decides that they need to head out, too. It’s best therefore to limit whole-group activities to two a day at most. A group park visit and evening meal are sufficient to maintain cohesion, when along with a high degree of conversation. A big group will ultimately end up breaking into smaller sized ones, especially inside the theme parks wherein different people would like to go to various places. Just ensure that you keep the lines of communication clear.
